Toy chest

I was surfing Hemmy.com and came across this page. It's a series of photos showing life inside the toy factories of China. It's rather surreal to think of the people who had to assemble my beloved childhood possessions in this context.

After seeing the pictures, I then remembered being shown several world maps in my World Politics class. The maps show the world proportional to the criteria requested. Here are two maps that kind of blow your mind:

For kicks, go to Worldmapper.org and look up the Arms Imports and Arms Exports maps too. The results aren't terribly surprising, but it's still mind boggling to see it laid out for you right there on the screen.
